Adam Michael Brewer has been practicing meditation since 2003 and began teaching it to others in 2016. He received his teaching certification in early 2017 from AnandaLA. His teachers have included Deepak Chopra, Paramahansa Yogananda, Goswami Kriyananda, Swami Kriyananda and Michael Bernard Beckwith. In 2015 he created 3-Minute Meditations as a jumpstart into guided meditation practice and as a follow-up, he now presents his Meditate With Ease course.
There's an old saying, "Give a man a fish, and feed him for a meal. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". When you use guided meditations, essentially you are being "given a fish". But when you learn a self-led practice, you are being "taught to fish." By no means am I saying guided meditations aren't good, because I think they're great and in fact I created an intro to meditation program called 3-Minute Meditations that uses exclusively guided meditations. But what I am saying is that there is something incredibly empowering about learning techniques to slow your breathing, relax your body, calm your mind and open your heart while sitting on your own. You can do it anytime, anywhere without anyone or any technology. Because at the end of the day, that's what life is all about...being able, moment by moment, to find the calm in the storm on your own. My job is to "teach you to fish" so that you don't need me, anyone or anything to find your center.

Meditation has been shown to reduce stress, control anxiety, promote emotional health, enhance self-awareness, lengthen attention span, possibly reduce age-related memory loss, generate kindness, may help fight addictions, improve sleep, help control pain, can decrease blood pressure, and you can do it anywhere.
You will have an out of body experience called astral travel where you merge with the entire cosmos...just kidding :) (Though this could happen at some point).
The most tangible ways of knowing that it's working is that the quality of your life improves because you become more joyful, loving, patient, kind, understanding, compassionate, peaceful, humble, forgiving, playful, creative, thoughtful, and service-oriented.
Not even remotely. But meditation works if you work it.
